No. 12631
And ... that'll probably be it, as far as pics go. Once things really got underway I was honestly too busy to work a camera. So, details.
The day before our due date, the anonymous wife was getting antsy about when the boy was going to show up. A visit to the midwife revealed she still wasn't very dilated, so they stripped her membranes to hopefully get things going.
Almost right away she started having contractions, and within a few hours they had formed up into a regular pattern. Unlike most early labors, however, her contractions were consistently close together from the very beginning, hitting every 3 minutes or so.
We ended up moving to the midwives after four hours of that, where she had barely dilated any further. Her membranes were stripped again and the contractions picked up further. They amped up in intensity and continued at their accelerated pace.
Roughly three hours after that they had become rather strong, and her water broke. We moved to the hospital where she quickly stripped down and availed herself to the shower. The hot water really helped, and she was able to relax between contractions.
After three more hours of labor she was checked again and at 7 cm. She got into the birthing tub, and almost instantly started feeling like she needed to push. The midwife was rather unbelieving but said she could let her body go with it, just not to assist. With a soft grunt though, his head crowned, and then popped free. The rest of him slid out very quickly after.
All in all, no pain meds were given during what was 11 hours of labor total. The midwife said it was one of the easiest births she'd ever seen, particularly for a first time. Pushing him out in particular was especially easy for her.
And that concludes the story of our pregnancy, labor, and birth. If you have some questions, go ahead and chime in! We'll possibly be posting a few more pics (if nothing else my wife eventually wants to do a progression series with the pics we took). We also may be throwing some content up in /mi in the near future; the milk flows pretty strongly from tits that big.
Thanks again everyone, we've really enjoyed sharing here!
