Thread removal (23)

1 .

Hi, please remove the following thread.

http://bbw-chan.net/bbw/res/22496.html

We realize that its been pointed out we're on the DNP list but as you can see, the thread is now going in a direction that is very negative.

Thank you

2 .

So let me get this straight:
The site holders requested their website, carrieland dot com, be put on the DNP list.
The DNP means anybody who posts content from or links to said website gets banned.
The site holders then post content from their website here.
The site holders then cry foul when people on a porn site talk about pirating and site ripping the content.

I am tempted to take care of this. I'm tempted to ban you and the OP for posting DNP content and a DNP link.

Apparently you folks think DNP status means you get to advertise here for free and then eject anybody that infringes on your property. I think otherwise, but I'm just one of many janitors. This little stunt disgusts me, so I'll let another mod take care of it.

3 .

only sample pictures were posted. i'm leaving the thread up.

4 .

Soul Detective...the site owners didn't start this thread or post the samples - we don't look to promote/advertise any website we own via sharing forums/boards.

Which is why i wanted the thread removed.

5 .

Jess,

You (and fattydaddy) do a great job with the DNP and moderating of the forum and I realize that the thread only contains sample pics...but my only aim here is to have zero exposure on sharing forums/boards.

6 .

Problem solved (sorta).

7 .

Thanks

8 .

hi can you please remove
http://bbw-chan.net/bbw/res/43644.html

her ass of a boy friend put up this thread...

9 .

no. we only remove threads by request of the copyright holder.

10 .

Please remove this thread:

Those screenshots were taken without my permission.

Thank you.

11 .

were you on a public videochat?

12 .

Doesn't matter. According to your rules, "Subjects in the photos you've taken must be aware they're being/have been photographed and acknowledge or permit you doing so."

I was not aware, nor did I give permission.

13 .

Not to butt in here, but by being on a publicly broadcasted video chat (and judging by the screencaps you were there willingly), you must've been *aware* that people were watching you and seeing the images being captured by the webcam.

I mean, going on a webcam is like surrendering all rights, right?

14 .

I disagree--that's the same argument for any person with a blog who complains when someone takes parts of a posts and posts it elsewhere without permission (You're posting in a public arena, so you're surrendering rights to your work). The blog owner is well within their rights to contact the person who reposted the content and request that it be taken down.

Photographs and screen-shots are considered derivative works, but only the original copyright owner can make the call in regards to what happens with them. I didn't give permission for screenshots, let alone for them to be posted elsewhere, and I'm asking nicely that they please be removed.

15 .

videochats aren't copyrighted, are you nuts?

you were aware that you were on camera. that rule was made to disallow secret shots to be posted, so we don't turn into peopleofwalmart.com. as you were aware that you were on camera, that rule doesn't apply to you.

16 .

Agreed.

It's not like you were being secretly videotaped and you didn't know about it or something. That's the point that I was trying to make.

17 .

I was the one that requested that guideline be added to the rule list. It was created explicitly to stop people from snapping photos of unsuspecting women going about their daily lives in the real world.
Why did I specify this, you may ask? Because I was tired of the threads people were making where a predatory creep would photograph normal women walking around and then make creepy comments celebrating the fact they were unaware they were being photographed and unable to be stopped.

A person being printscreened from being naked and frolicking during a webcam performance is not the same thing and is not the same situation the original rule was designed to address. The intent of the rule doesn't really apply here. The most that applies here is politely requesting pics posted without your confirmation be removed. Ordinarily I'd remove it, but it conflicts with the other policy I have of not intervening with another mod's decision. Sorry.

18 .

Hey can you guys take down the thread in the bbw real section with my megaupload? TY.

19 .

Emma, go and ask on the IRC. There's almost always a mod on there.

20 .

i need a link.

22 .

i removed it, but i asked emma, not you.

23 .

..... I was just trying to help. I knew she was busy at the time because we had spoken earlier.

24 .

i'd just rather not set a future precedent of people requesting threads to be removed who don't have anything to do with the content.
