Oh boy. I thought I was done here. Goody.
First things first. You're clearly atleast partially religious. That's fine. I don't particularly care either way, but dont assume that your decree of divinity holds any sway in this argument. You cannot inflict spiritual damage on yourself or anyone else because there is no spirit.
> [Any Psychologist would agree with this assessment.]
No. Healthy sexual practices including consensual pre-marital sex if desired, is a standard in the proper development of any adult. Ask any real psychologist. Hell, shoot one an e-mail. I'm sure a professional psychologist would be more than happy to answer a question like that.
>What pornstars do IS VERY dirty. There is a reason it is not allowed on primetime TV. There is a reason there is an age limit before people are allowed to purchase it and view it for themselves. People also get addicted to it & need professional help to get off of it. Not because it is clean & healthy, but because it is dirty.
I partially agree with you. Not the motivation mind you, but the words. Vivid depictions of sex have the potential to be harmful to children. There are enough studies to show that. That logic begins and ends at children and is wholly valid. It's a shame everything else you said is garbage.
People get addicted to all sorts of things: collecting cards, running, health food, junk food - just to name a few. If you look down on everything someone could get addicted to you would be forced to frown on everything anyone enjoys. We're wired like that. It's not because it's dirty that we're prone to addiction; It's about a million years worth of evolution.
>Here's the deal. Sex is dirty because society has been doing it wrong.
There is no such thing as doing it wrong. If the sex is consensual, it's fine. Arbitrarily deciding that a certain point in your life makes it ok to enjoy natural activities is not a valid argument. pre-marital sex isn't any worse than post marital. That's it. End of discussion. As soon as anyone decides to front a proper argument for the supremecy of post-marital sex, we can continue this line of reasoning.
Why arn't people suppose (That's a very odd choice of words. I dont think anyone is suppose to have sex with anyone else. We choose to do it on our own) to have sex with prostitutes, porn stars, and people who enjoy their bodies? If two people concent to the act, what is the reason to stop them? I personally wouldnt have sex with a prostitute because I could never be certain of my own safety but that's just me. I don't have the right to judge the people who would.
>Society, being backwards as it tends to be, has this all reversed, to the point that people like you see the intrinsic value of sex but ignore the more grave consequences and repercussions of it.
I dont think I do. I understand that sex can have a profound impact on my life. If I get a horrible std that causes my head to explode, that would suck. If I end up having a kid, that would be a major change in my life. I take any and all reasonable steps to prevent those things, including safe sex, and regular check-ups but it could happen. I accept that. I think most people understand the risks, but are willing to accept them in order to enjoy their lives to the fullest. I could slip and die in the shower every morning, should I stop showering or should I take all precautions and enjoy being clean?
>You do realize that these people contract diseases right? ALL THE TIME. It may not be HIV, but they definitely catch them. Most of these "healthy lifestyle pornstars" are on drugs. Is that healthy? Is that clean?
I think your dramatically over-stating the risk factors here. Where I live (The glorious state of Canukistan) you need a card to do porn. To get a card you have to have regular check-ups, blood tests, and abide by a particular code of conduct. The risk of getting horrible, debilitating stds is low. Not non-existant, mind you, but low. But then again, surgeons have a dramatically higher rate of blood born diseases than the general population. Drug use is an entirely diffrent issue. I would love to see the rate of drug use among proffesional sex workers. You may have a point. I really don't know. I personally think you just made that up.
>In the end they portray a dim reflection of passion & intimacy, BUT it does not fulfil them, not for us anyway.
Wholly and completely agree. Porn is not a replacement for good ol' fashion fucking.
I'm not going to shit on you for your stance. I'm just going to shit on you for not providing a reasonable argument to back up your (admitedly sometimes valid) points.
Obligatory picture for threads sake. Hurry up with that new content. *shakes fist.
